Redefining performance
|
Traditional approaches to management, which emerged with the Industrial Revolution are no longer adequate. The “global” performance approach at the level of the organization, coherent with the company’s objectives must substitute the vision of "local" performances, at the level of a department or a team. The traditional concept of productivity as often advocated the indicator of excellence, is brought to back and subordinated to the organization’s performance as a whole.
Arthusa promotes the "Global performance Methodology"(MPG)®. It aims at creating a significant and measurable performance jump. This approach is primarily a change in thinking and doing and substitutes beliefs about the performance that are obsolete. MPG® is based upon the work of E. M. Goldratt whose approach (entirely explained in his famous book "The Goal", of which Eli said: "....it is a condemnation of how we run our organizations ...") has proved its value.
In fact, MPG aims at identifying the client's objectives consistent with the sense and strategy of the company. The identification of these targets will result in the establishment of a number of key performance indicators consistently derived at each organizations level and departments (production, project management, administrative services, etc.). This leads to a fundamental review of how to work, always focusing on the global performance substituting and condemning local optima.
The results speak for themselves. It takes just a few months to divide lead-times by 3 and 4, and to reduce work in process and finished goods inventory by 50% and more. |
